Performance Evidence

Evidence of the ability to:

  • review document requirements, and select the appropriate language
  • create and save a markup language document
  • validate the document
  • use a markup language, without the automated generation of code.

Note: If a specific volume or frequency is not stated, then evidence must be provided at least once.

Knowledge Evidence

To complete the unit requirements safely and effectively, the individual must:

  • identify and describe, markup languages and their associated standards
  • list the features and limitations of a range of available browsers
  • explain web accessibility.

Assessment Conditions

Gather evidence to demonstrate consistent performance in conditions that are safe and replicate the workplace. Noise levels, production flow, interruptions and time variances must be typical of those experienced in the website technologies field of work, and include access to:

  • the organisational style guide or policy
  • the document specification
  • a text editor
  • a range of browsers
  • the internet, to validate the markup.

Assessors must satisfy NVR/AQTF assessor requirements.
